Hi Freshmen! You might be feeling a bit overwhelmed by all the new faces, but there’s one event that can help you feel right at home—the annual Activities Fair. This event is your gateway to discovering the many opportunities and communities at Lexington High School. You can explore your interests, meet new people, and start making your high school experience truly your own.

At the Activities Fair, you’ll visit stations set up by different LHS clubs. Each will provide information about the club and how you can get involved. You can ask questions, sign up for clubs that catch your interest, and even participate in mini-activities that showcase what the clubs do. If you want to join, add your name to the signup sheet.

Getting involved in clubs offers numerous benefits that can greatly enhance your high school experience. First and foremost, it’s a fantastic way to meet new friends who share your interests and passions. Whether you’re into robotics, drama, or community service, joining a club allows you to connect with like-minded peers and form friendships that often extend beyond the school walls.

You’re encouraged to join as many clubs as you want, and there’s no pressure to stay in a club if it doesn’t turn out to be what you expected. It’s perfectly okay to explore different clubs and see what fits you best. If you realize that a particular club isn’t quite right for you, you can always step away and try something else.

Also, keep an eye out for the abundance of candy handed out by the different clubs. It’s like Halloween came early, with tables covered in Skittles, Starbursts, and more. You can dart from booth to booth, collecting various sweets. Last year, the Chess Club even gave away donuts if you could beat one of their members!
